00 Leganza Intake?
what up? i have a '00 Leganza. I wanted to get an air intake for it. I was wondering if there were any air intakes out there for another car that would fit mine. My friend said he has one for an eclipse that might fit. And if i do get one that fits, do i need to drill holes for the other hoses that come out and my O2 sensor?
most probably the intake got a hole for the IAT sensor and the crank case breather so you won't have to do any drilling.

just put one of these onto the place where the filter box meets the pipe with the other tubes http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-04-CH ... 8015668077hockeychink21 wrote:what up? i have a '00 Leganza. Re: 00 Leganza Intake?
That would leave the stock resonator.... which is very restrictive and defeats the purpose of getting a CAIDaew0Leganza wrote:just put one of these onto the place where the filter box meets the pipe with the other tubes

how is that possible Erfinder?? if he put that filter then the resonator is no longer part of the intake system and causes no restriction whatsoever simply because the intake air doesn't go through it no more... right?

I would keep it short ram, my friend has CAI and he drove through just a little water and screwed up his engine bad. The SRI from weapon-r that i have on my leganza performs very well.Daew0Leganza wrote:oh thats how come my damn car ran like crap but u mean not the bottom resonator u mean the one on the top? or does the box on top do other stuff... do u recommend me upgrading to cold air or leavin it short ram... some mechanic before told me he wouldnt do cold air because the water would wreck the engineErfinder@PrecisionBoost wrote:That would leave the stock resonator.... which is very restrictive and defeats the purpose of getting a CAIDaew0Leganza wrote:just put one of these onto the place where the filter box meets the pipe with the other tubes

cai is best if you have a bypass installed, it prevents hydro-lock (where the filter gets soaked and you can't get air to the engine, or it sucks in water)
for performance... short ram is the best... as long as you can get fresh air to it (like a scoop or vent in the hood... or take out a headlight)
