Upgrading a Lanos engine...HELP

Post by DrSmile »

Hello Daewoo fans!!

I've recently joint to this site and it is impressive how many fans like are spread around this world.

I've a Lanos 1.5 SX AT 1998 and I'm thinking on upgrade it with a Nubira 2.0 engine. I've being searching on the web manuals or drawings to disclosure if 2 liters engine fits with the gearbox and the rest of components of my car, but... nothing.

Does any one of you have the experience doing this or what the theory says about it????? Thanks a lot for your help

:D

A pontiac sunbrid engine from the years of 1987-1991 is a straight swap. No mods necessary for the mounting of the engine and transmission. The model of the engine is the c20get.

I know there is also a opel engine that is pretty much the same thing as this engine but I am not sure of the model number of it.

the 2.0 and 2.2 engines were swapped into the Lanos before... it required an engine mount mod. though.

Really? I thought the 2.0 from Nubira is a direct swap with no mount modifications required.... no?

Thanks guys!!!

I've seeing some older posts about to use a C20GET in a lanos but conversations are too technical for me. The final result worth the difficult of finding that angine and the risk of no parts??

Jorge, that is a C20GET or Nubira engine?? Gracias compadre.

c20get is a turbocharged engine, the one on the picture is N/A (nubira's).
