question about cylinder firing order on 1.6

what is correct, detailed firing order... is it 1,2,4,3, where 1 and 4 are tdc and bdc together and the same for 2,3 (but firing is 180 offset between one and 4)

or is it

1/4, 2/3 where one and four fire at the same time (as opposed to being 180 degress offset)?

i'm thinking they are offset... but i dunno

Firing order of every 4 cylinder I've ever seen is 1-3-4-2. Cylinder 1 and 4 move up and down together (1 is on power stroke, 4 is on intake) and 2 and 3 move up and down together (2 is on power stroke, 3 is on intake).

I agree, anything else and the engine would be under undue stress because the pistons would be unbalanced and the engine would shake and rattle.
