Leganza timing and valves
Recently, my wife was driving her Leganza at about 85MPH in 5th gear (probably 2500RPM) and the timing belt tensioner broke off of the oil pump housing, where it mounts. This, if you can picture it, is basically the equivalent of the belt snapping because all the tension is lost. So anyway, after tearing apart half of the engine to replace the oil pump housing, I got everything back together and timed correctly and now the engine does not even start still. Now, it's obvious I probably have bent valves, but would some bent valves keep the engine from running at all?
i can say yes as your firing cycle is totally wrong now as only 2 cyilenders are working while the other two are not working at all... i would be surprized if the engine did start with bent valves.

Unless you have taken the cyllinder head off, you can not see how much damage there actually is.
Worst case, there could be broken valves, holes in the tops of the pistons, broken pistons loose in the bottom of the crank case, broken connecting rods or even a broken crank shaft (not likely, but possible).
Until you take the cyllinder head off, you won't know how much damage has been done.

Hi Jeff....
I can't remember if I gave you the diagram for removing and installing cylinder head bolts.... email me if you still need them.
Did you find out how much the local scrap yard wants for a replacement cylinder head??
I've seen rebuilt ones on EBay for around $400 ..... just look up Daewoo Cylinder head or Isuzu Cylinder head and you should find one.
How much did it cost you the last time they fixed your cylinder head??
( I thought I remembered you saying the timing belt broke once before )
