Paint heat range?

When painting the exhaust manifold heat shield can I use the 500 degree enamal or do I have to use that dull color 900 degree stuff??
Stay in control with Hankook's weather...or not technology.

I think you'll be fine with 500... i used 1200 on mine and on my brakes and havnt had any problems at all. Keep in mind im on the track alot so my brakes get very hot.

I know 1200 is a big difference but if my brakes stand 1200 i think the heatshield will stand 500

LOL ... In Arazona, the inside of your car will reach 500 if you leave the car in the parking lot with the windows closed. :P

hahah... yeah. No kidding. I have cloth seats and i had a hard time sitting in them after school one day when it was only like 105. Your eyes burn so bad

oklahoma is almost the same. when i get in my car i got a rag to put over my shifter knob so i can shift without scalding myself. :D
