NGK IRIDIUM or the Densos. Bosch plugs suck for Daewoos for some reason. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=33693

well i think you need to check into that claim more. Bosch's might suck for the lanos because it is an asian (i think japanese design). However, Bosch's plugs are great for the leganza which has a german engine. Just look what already comes in it.

Oz knows more about this........

why does the Lanos have asian or japanese engine?? it is all GM engines... right?? and i have friends that are currently running with Bosch super 4 on a lanos 1.5 and it is fantastic, Elhamy can confirm that.

I think they are all GM engines, there isn't a lot of Asian design about them. Take off the exhaust manifold and you will see GM stamped on the block. It doesn't make sense that Bosch wouldn't work in our engines.

I would personally go with NGK Iridium because I've run NGK in all my cars and never have had a single spark plug problem. Next in line would be Denso then finally Bosch. But you can't go wrong with any of them because they are all excellent parts.

i was using NGK V grove sparks but now i am on U groved Denso... i am not that happey with them, they didn't foul or so but it is kinda personal feeling that the NGK are better.

i also think i better get new spark plugs after replacing my leaky injectors... my sparks got mild smog on them... what do you think?? should i throw the Denso spark plugs (got 4600 Kms on them) and get a new set of NGKs??

First off, ALL Daewoo engines are based on the European designed GM Family II engine. The engines used in Daewoos are actually built in Australia by Holden, a subsidiary of GM.

The harsh reality is that a spark plug is a spark plug, unless you need it for specific things. For example, turbocharged cars require a colder plug than NA cars. This is to prevent detonation. Therefore the brand plug has nothing to do with where the engine is built. Neither does the type. It has everything to do with what is the intended operating atmosphere of the plug.

Manufacturers nowadays specify things based on who can offer them goods at the best price. When was the last time you saw a manufacturer recommend Texaco Havoline as their oil of choice? I've never seen it, yet Havoline, in my experience out-does all the others.
