Is the part in the black circle is the water pump?? and if it is then where is the oil pump located??

Yes it is waterpump on 1.8/2.0/2.2 16V engines.

Do you need one??? :lol:

That's the water pump. It's driven by the cambelt.

The oil pump is driven directly from the crankshaft. The crankshaft actually passes right through it! It is behind the crankshaft pulley. It spans the entire width of the block and forms a part of the mating surface of the oil pan too. It also houses the oil pressure sensor. So that thing that the oil pressure sensor screws into is the oil pump.

and Tom: i guess i will need one for my 1.5 SOHC at the next timing belt change as i didn't change it at the 40,000Kms mark... i am currently at the 61,000 Kms mark so needing the pump is not in the near future for me... thanks for asking anyways. :)
