okay basically when i turn the car on after it gets cold again it tries really hard to stay alive. it like sputters and and some points sounds like it is gonna stall on me but then revs up to normal then back down again. i'm not getting a CEL when it happens. i need to do a tune up but just wanted to make sure that its can't be anything else more than that.

save a tree, eat a beaver.
it is better to get the tune up first then diagnose this... most probably the problem will go away after the tune up and if it doesn't then we will have much less areas to dig in.
