MISFIRE FROM HELL
I have a Check Engine Light on and it isn't causing any performance problems but the light is really annoying me. Even thought it isn't causing any problems I want it fixed because I know it could eventually turn in to a serious problem. I have access to a Snap-On MODIS scanner to check CEL or other problems with cars so I hooked it up to the Woo to pull the code. I have a MISFIRE ON CYL 1. Can't fix it though.
Its not the wires -I have 2 sets and tested them both (one set is a brand new Magnecor).
Its not the plug -checked them all and they are in good condition and just to make sure I put a spankin new one on cylinder 1.
Its not the distributor - I have a spare one and I swapped it out.
& I put in Fuel Injector cleaner
& I have disconnected the battery after every troubleshoot so it resets the ECM.
WHAT IS CAUSING THE MISFIRE THEN???

you have a "miss fire" so the "firing" you got in the #1 chamber is not good - or at least the ECU is claming so - and you have checked the electrical part of the "fire"... as Audacityracing said: check the fuel part of the "fire" by swapping the #1 injector and see if the CEL detects missfire in another cyl. where the swapped injector went.

I have the same issue, MISFIRE 1ST CYLINDER, I'm not worried though, it could just be a glitch. My guess though, is that my injectors are leaking a little, causing a bit of a rough idle and the "misfire". Do what Audacityracing said, switch the fuel injectors and see if the misfire switches to another cylinder.

haven't checked yet but if compression is bad doesn't that mean "bye bye motor?" or is there a way to repair that. its on warranty so if it goes bad no big worries but I'd rather it not.

also... run the engine...
turn the throttle body open by hand and look in the coolant jug. take the lid off of it and look inside... if you see oil or bubbles (don't confuse bubbles with coolant pouring in from the top) then you have a blown head gasket... which would account for numerous issues that may not even show up as performance issues... yet.
just check to see if the coolant contains oil or bubbles... then we'll try some other things
