who to get the best acceleration

Post by lanos rider »

how to make sure you are getting the best acceleration of your car, you will need to do some stuff before
you start:
1_ make sure that the A\C is not turned on
2_ turn off most of the ligth's that's not needed.
3_ make sure that the seat is adjusted properly so that your left foot can press the clutch
to the end.
4_ to get best acceleration of your car it must not be full warmed up.
5- DON'T LET THE RPM GO TO THE RED AREA because this way you are just wasting time
(to 5500 RPM the best for a lanos)
6_ try to shift as fast as you can.
7_ Dont let many people with you in the car (make the car as light as u could ).
8_ make sur you get back home.

accelerating hard with the engine not fully warmed up will damage your engine... cold engines should not be put under any big pressure.

even on the BMW M5 the red zone on the tach starts at 4500 RPM when the engine is cold then moves up gradually till it reaches the 7000 RPM limit... if that is the case with a car that was intended to be driven hard and fast then you should emagin what will that do to a car that is supposed to be an economy car.

Also, for a Lanos, the best point to shift at is 6k rpm. 5-6k rpm I feel the biggest burst of power and there's no way I'm shifting at 5500rpm when the car still accelerates FAST.

50% of engine wear occurs during engine starting, i usually wait untill my engine is warm before i get it above 3k rpm
