'normal' engine coolant temperatures

Post by mab57 »

The guage on my nubira does not give any numerical indication of temperature, and I can only assume that the middle of the dial is 'normal' and 90 oC. If that is the case then my car generally 'runs cold' since the needle generally sits half-way between this mark and the one immediately to its left.

I would be interested to hear from others as to what is 'normal' for a nubira (or other Daewoos), as I may need to change my thermostat.

Many thanks

On my Nubira there are 5 graduations on the guage. Last is red. The needle is around 2+. Since the needle slightly oscillates I guess my thermostat works.
