pros: looks pretty cool
cons: you will most likely get all the dirt in there, get water in there etc. Depending on the location (I assumed lower front bumper)

It'll work, and you will have really cold air, the only problem is that it will not be ram air as the tube is to the side and the air cannot go directly in as if say, the tube is behind your fog light opening. It will also stress the car because to get from the front bumper to the throttle in a Daewoo, you will have to use a lot of pipe and the bends in the pipe will be drastic, which might react poorly with the engine. Also, you will collect a lot of water, sand, and all around gunk, so you will be cleaning it a lot. Also, the design will also will lower the efficiency of your radiator and condensor as there is not as much air going through them.

Personally, the idea is "good", but traditional ram air has been proven to work and it would be the way I go.

Also, if installed in front of the radiator it will have a tendency to suck up all the hot air around the radiator. The reason for that is the fact the front opening is protected by a piece of a plexiglass, so it will want to suck most of the air up from the back.

Other than all the dirt junk being forced onto the filter assy, no. But something like a flying rock will go thru the filter when you are cruising down the highway.

did you ever think about mounting it like a stock WRX filter, ontop of the motor with a scoop to feed it. Tat may solve the debris problem, and maybe even look ok. just a thought

i think it will be a bad idea as the intake will suck all the hot air in the engine compartment.

i guess in the Subaru it is mounted right under the vents in the hood so it gets air feed from outside the engine bay so unless you make a custom vent on the Woo's hood it will be a bad idea.

If you do mount it on top of the engine like a toip mount intercooler, I would not recomend you do that. The reason i say this is becuase of any water the may get through the scoop, it would end up in the filter, and then , in your engine. I would just sugest using the intakes that suck from the bottom of the bumber, like the aem ones for the civics, I know, i sade a bad word (not to worry, I hate hondas) but It is the best idea. If you think that when it rains that it might not be enough water to do any damage, then u would have to remember that when u wash your car that you would have to protect it in some way. It really sin't practical
