Hi Guys, Just found the site through a Vauxhall forum of all places!
I am considering purchasing a Nexia GLXi (16v DOHC). On paper it looks like a great car, but I have heard that parts are hard to come by / expensive in the UK. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Also, what kind of mileages can these cars run tp before problems start to crop up? The particular one I am looking at is at 91K miles.
Thanks very much to anyone who can help,
Alex
Availability of Nexia parts in UK?

Does the Nexia GLXi come with the 2.0L 16V or the 1.6L 16V??
What year of Nexia??
It seems that when ever you guys talk about "16V DOHC" it's usually the C20XE engine.
As far as mileage.... I think they run for ever as long as your carefull about changing out the timing belt every 50 miles to 60K miles.
I'm going to guess that with 91K you might have to start thinking about cleaning or replacing the fuel injectors and possibly the water pump... other things like the O2 sensor are easy to replace as well.... what you have to do depends on how the guy before you drove it.... if it was all highway driving and serviced very regularly there's a good chance that you won't need to put a dime into your car.
I personally would rather put a few hundred dollars into the engine and have better gas mileage than worry about problems that might occur in the near future.

Hi I live in the uk and I've just bought a 3dr nexia 1.5 16v glxi as my first car, and I can only so far say good things about them. I picked up a really nice one for ?1200 and it had only done 48000miles! I would seriously consider getting one. There are loads of cheap low mileage examples around you just got to shop around. As for the reliability side I can't really say much as I haven't had mine for long enough to know, but in my opinion you get a hell alotta car for your money. Have you got any plans to modify your car? :P
