Lanos 1.5 clutch bearing worn?

Post by MaXiMiZoR »

Gearbox is not in any gear. It's in free position.
Then when I start my engine (holding down the clutch pedal) everything sounds fine. But when I release the clutch (clutch grips on gearbox) a nasty rumble is heard. Could this be a worn clutch-bearing??

No kidding? Transmission bearing? That's not good. Gonna cost me too much money to get it fixed.

I'm tired of this car, think I'm gonna sell it as soon as possible. Just 100.000km and already a broken gearbox?
Also a lot of other annoying symptoms like check engine light misfires and motor that holds in and shocks and broken heater cables.
I'm so tired of this Lanos...

If I could only get that loan, I could buy a brand new car. And it will be a Seat Leon with a reliable VW diesel engine.

it is not that horrible... i drove dad's car with similar problem for 3 years with no issues at all, you either live with the noise or find someone really good to replace the bad bearing... or even buy a tranny for 600 or 700LE

the check engine just needs a scanner check and a good mechanic, didn't understand the problem with the engine and for shocks you need a set of Monroes... broken cables need few drops of super glue

i'd say a 2000LE would get all your problems fixed

Sorry, I meant the engine shocks a bit sometimes like it's not getting enough fuel...
