Oil Pressure Sensor Location
2000 lanos , i need to change the oil pressure sensor, i keep getting the flickering oil light, at stops in traffic, oil level good, i have the sensor i just need to know where it it, i know its in the back of the engine, but tell me where, a picture will help, am i able to reach it from the top, or i have to be underneath,,,, thanks
Re: Oil Pressure Sensor Location
The oil pressure switch is behind the distribution cover at crankshaft pulley level, right engine side.
A oil pressure loss can come from worn crankshaft bearing too.
Edit: forgot to mention that it is pointing rearward & accessible from underneath.

Re: Oil Pressure Sensor Location
or oil pump...
check your oil pressure before you spend any money on new sensors

Re: Oil Pressure Sensor Location
i second Daniel's & Benzino's opinions... yet changing the pressure sending unit is the first step to take in such cases
