A15 engine works with this mod.
Permanently I wired the Brown/white stripe to the Black. Done, and it works.
Runs well with 91 octane unleaded as a 95 to the ECU.
When price of ethanol 10% petrol gets cheaper, which is supposedly 95!!!, I will use it, but at the moment I get far more from the ULP91 as far as distance per fill of the tank. The calculation I use is is the price equal or greater than 10% different.
Seems the rip-off is that the ethanol based mix does not give the same power per stroke, and of course distance per dollar is actually less on the E10 than the non Ethanol mixed fuel.

I've seen the pic before. that was under your passanger seat right?
that was on a 1.5 SOHC or 1.6 DOHC?

Re: Ganing more power with a really simple mod
yep... under the passenger seat on a 1.5 SOHC
some woos got the ECU under the passenger seat and others got it beside the A/C blower... in both cases the plug is in the same location

Re: Ganing more power with a really simple mod
i just remembered something...
i have only seen this plug on lanoses here... never saw it on a nubira... our lanoses comes with the 1.5 SOHC and it doesn't have a knock sensor... on the other hand the Nubira comes with a 1.6 DOHC with a knock sensor
i recon the 1.6 engine is managed differently as far as ignition timing in comparison to the 1.5 SOHC as the 1.6 relies on a knock sensor to detect knock and keep it at minimum level regardless of the octane you are using while on the 1.5 the ignition timing is preset using the plug based on the octane you are using
just a thought...
