I have a 2001 Daewoo Lanos Sport 1.6L which I am at a loss to what is wrong...
I began to experience very high idle at park/neutral then engine racing at traffic lights, then it went to shuddering / stalling and loss of acceleration with hesitation. I replaced plugs / wires...CEL came on...Auto zone said general mis-fire.
The car then started fine and when put into drive / reverse it dies despite pushing pedal down to floor...back to neutral or park engine can be kept somewhat started by fluttering the gas pedal.
I took a chance and replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter...most of the sensors have been replaced (waiting for crankshaft position sensor to arrive) because I borrowed a friends OB2 which gave a GM code that indicated the crank shaft position sensor was an issue...no other codes...the misfire code has not come back up.
I don't know if the Crank Shaft Position Sensor will prevent a vehicle from running properly...also once it is replaced I read about doing a TEC Test or Relearn?
Can anyone provide any input or insight...I need my car running as it is my only car.
Thanks
Paul
