There is absolutely no way possible for an exhaust to cost that much, even if you got a full titanium exhaust mandrel bent. They are just trying to rip you off.kinkyllama wrote:I found a good shop, they told me it'd end up costing me as much as a couple of thousand. . . My friends in an auto class and hes going to ask his teacher if they can do it as a learning experiance so maybe ill just get it for free
My entire intake and exhaust cost me less than $400 with labor

Come to New England where life actually makes sense and get it done here.
$1,000 bucks for an intake??!!?!?! Maybe if it was made out of GOLD?
My intake cost me $30 bucks with shipping, exhaust cost me $250 bucks with labor.
Are you sure they weren't joking, because that is ridiculous.
BTW how old are you?

No, they wernt joking . . . Its making me mad, i dont understand why different shops are giving me these prices cuz its obviously a rip off. I make it clear that its not a exhaust manifold also... so i donno, ill probably end up doing it myself but i dont have time with school and work.
I'm only 16, this is my first car, i paid for it myself along with all the mods.

Make a custom exhaust: Select any style of universal muffler that you like (Tanabe, Ractive, etc), then have a shop (or yourself if you have the tools... you're going to have to weld) replace the stock muffler with the one you purchased, also replace the resinator (2nd muffler) with a straight pipe. It will sound amazing and look as good as a cat-back system.
