Timing Belt replacement

Post by joehammer »

I just bought a 2002 Daewoo Leganza SE with 81,000 miles , when should the timing belt be replaced? Is there any other general maintenance that should be done that may have been missed?

Timing kit job is due every 54kmiles. Without car's history I'll suggest you to do that right now. Change water pump too.

Plus basic maintenance:
-brake/clutch fluid
-coolant
-plugs
-engine oil & filter
-fuel filter
-air filter
-cabin filter
-if automatic gear box: change oil

How do you set the cams and crankshaft? Mine slipped while I was changing the water pump, so now I need to make sure everthing is in place. Thanks, John
