Leganza/Vectra engine.. Will vectras motor fit?

Hey, my leganza's 2.2 motor has crapped out on me!

Will a 2.2L 16 valve holden/opel Vectra engine fit in a 99 daewoo leganza Auto 2.2L 16 valve??????
Will it fit without modification because i hear there pretty much the same motor!?

You have to be careful as a new Vectra may have an incompatible engine.... it depends on where you are in the world and the age of the Vectra.... the iron block 2.2 fits but the aluminum block 2.2 does not.

The iron/aluminum engines look quite different so it should be easy to tell them apart.

Everything should be pretty much compatible.... you can also drop in the easier to find 2.0L engines.... not all that much of a difference in power.... but you do have to pay attention to the age as the older ones fit... but the electronics are very different.

The Vectra will have a different management system and different sensors..... so you would have to swap them over from your Leganza to make it a perfect fitment.
