Does anyone know of a way ( hopefully multi meter) to test the CPS....and what the readings should be? I don't have a oscilloscope and i need to know if my Cps is bad...
thanks.

Of course you have a scope
: http://www.zeitnitz.de/Christian/index.php?sel=scope_en . Just avoid too much voltage on audio input or it'll burn
.
CPS is camshaft sensor, right? Then it's a hall effect sensor and you need to power it and watch signal while some magnetic piece is moved in front of sensor. That's how I would check it but not yet done. More general info about sensors here
