My brand new aveo dissapoints me - MUCH

Post by nefary »

I finally changed my lanos to an Aveo LS with 1.5 sohc engine. the same as my old lanos

but the new ride performance dissapoints me alot. in my old Lanos it was So powerfull. my wheels didn't stop spining on the 1st gear and I feel the rubber shouts on the 2nd gear and even on the 3rd gear the wheels slips over the road from the torque.

Now with new aveo it accelerates good but I don't feel the torque range over all the RPM ranges . My old lanos when on 3000 rpm the engine pull the car immediatly. now the engine still thinking for 2 or 3 seconds to make me feel the power.

I cant imagine how a car with a full throttle on a speed of 160km/h and the speed of the car decreas!!!!!!!!!!!

is this because I start to push my engine hardly from the 1st day or it is soe management or this Model is like that?

how CAN I RAISE MY TORQUE????

what about the transmissions, was one an auto and the other a 5-speed?

another concern may be the weight of the cars, perhaps the aveo is heavier than the lanos. was the lanos a base model without power window and what not? does the aveo have power everything?

my aveo is manual 1.5 sohc with front power window and power side mirror

but i dont think this is the issue. my old lanos was upgraded to full power things ( windows, mirrors , antenna & anti theft system ) but it still better than the aveo

the aveo got 3HP less than a lanos and it has one extra catalytic converter so that will reduce your high end performance... i am not sure if beeing higher from the ground affects top speed or not but i am sure it negativly affects high speed stability

AAHHH yes good point MM, I didn't even think about the cat-con. also, isn't the fuel system on the Aveo a returnless?
