So i was wondering... this may be some what hybrid, i dont know... according to this list above
90-93 Geo Storm 1.8 DOCH 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto FWD
is compatible engine donor/swap, so what about the Geo Storm GSI with a 1.6 DOHC engine? The reason for this is, I've read on the dreaded Wiki, and this site as well http://www.wcperformance.com/toyota_jdm_motors.htm that the GSI version came with a slightly modified 4AGE (or just 4AG) engine. This engine, 4AGE, was used by Toyota and commonly found on the AE86 Sprinter / Trueno, or 1986 Toyota Corolla in the US. Then later by Chevrolet.

A lot of this info is also found in wiki.
Again this is just a thought, and just throwing this out there. Only thing I do NOT know about is the cost of one of these engines... I fail...
So, I've been keeping an eye on this topic waiting on confirmation on whether or not the heads on the C20GET are non-interference. Are they?
I just saw an '89 Sunbird GT turbo with 253,000 km on it for sale in Vancouver BC for $500 ... only thing wrong, apparently, is that the timing belt snapped. Might be my chance to get my hands on the engine with the wire harness/ECM all together. The guy selling it seems to believe that it needs towed ... it'd be pretty sweet to give the guy $500 and then throw a new belt on it and drive it away!
