i also noticed that the fuel gauge is not uniform... i mean the gauge moves very fast when it is in the range from F to 3/4 then it goes slower when it is past 3/4 amd goes real slow in the 1/4 area. at least this is the case with mine so if the needle is at 1/2 mark it might not mean that you got ...

Milage on a '99 1.6 Lanos

Hi. I just got a new Lanos, the old one was a 3 door 1.3L '98 model with a manual transmission. I got around 500km on 45-50 liters of gas, which I think equals something around 23 mpg US. Can anyone tell me what I should expect from my new Lanos? It's a 1.6L '99 5 door hatchback with an automatic tr...

Remote locking and alarm are acting strange!

Hi, some idiot with a mullet crashed into my old Lanos, so I got a new one :) Anyway, the new one has remote locking, and when I press the button on the remote, the turning lights blink on the left side of the car. But here's the thing, two times now when I lock it, the lights either don't stop blin...

There are power supplies available that startup and shutdown the computer with the car, so that isn't a problem. Giving it power won't be a problem. Mounting it might be a bit of a hazzle, but what I'm most worried about is putting to much load on the electrical system.

In-dash computer + touch screen

I am thinking about fitting my Lanos with a pc computer and a touchscreen. I want to use it as an mp3 player, video player, and for navigation with gps. I want to mount the computer in the dashboard where the radio is, and put the screen over it. Has anyone here done anything similar? Since I know a...

here is a manual for basic assembly and part numbers. it'll help you figure out how to dissasemble stuff if needed. also shows pretty good pics if you need to explain something to someone on here since we all help one another out. http://daewootech.net/Downloads/Lanos_serv_manual_0123456789.pdf tha...

Lanos manuals

Hi, I just bought a '98 Lanos, and I am looking for any and all manuals that are available for it. I am especially interested in electrical diagrams and workshop manuals, does anyone know where I can get these, preferably as a (free) download.

thanks
