Re: Flow-bench testing 2.0 16v Eco head.

Sounds like quite a bit of money for a single test, a few years back I was really interested in making or buying a flow bench for fun. You might be surprised to see how inexpensive some of the kits are and how well they work. Here is an example: http://www.flowperformance.com/price.html It's not pre...

Re: The U20SED track-reliable power limit.

This sounds like a high rev way to build an engine. I'm not opposed to that per-se, but is an 8500 rpm us20d a rebuild it every 5,000 miles sort of engine? I've heard the intakes are really bad, but my students fabricated a new manifold that should support higher revs. Am I barking up the wrong tre...

Re: The U20SED track-reliable power limit.

I would want to stay NA because, no offense to anybody, the turbo builds on this forum seem pretty fragile and I've never tracked a car that couldn't use cooling help. No offense taken, this site has very few serious builders, most people are on a fairly tight budget. My project car has the potenti...

Re: The U20SED track-reliable power limit.

Well, the K20 is a decent engine with good potential, not sure how well the engine/gearbox would line up, but if it's race only then there is probably room for flexibility in cutting out some metal and repositioning certain items ( exhaust and intake are reverse of U20SED ) I guess it comes down to ...

Here, I just remembered that he came online here after talking with him on astra-mk2.com

I was looking for some megasquirt maps to play with while I configure my MS2.

Here is the post on his car http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtop ... =5&t=12669

Re: Looking for a 1500 lb clamping force pressure plate

I'm not sure if it will be very easy to find, I always use flat flywheels and I had a hard time finding anything larger than 1200lbs, which is a Sachs pressure plate. I'm thinking the best place to look would be Astra-MK2.com There are a few guys running 2.0L 8V turbo engines, which may have the sam...

Re: suzuki forenza clutch slave cylinder

The four door Daewoo Lacetti was badged as a Chevrolet Nubira ( sedan and wagon only ) in parts of Europe, so the 2004-2010 models do have a compatible internal slave cylinder.

The incompatible external slave cylinder was on the older Daewoo Nubira (1997-2003 ).

Re: Has everyone quit this site?

yeah I looked at that one. But cant really decide on what to do to the forum categories. Chris might make a comment about this. Movement to an alternate domain name would solve certain problems and help to add new users. Personally I think that all the broken image links have damage a large portion...

Re: Bought a new Chevy Sonic (T300, gen2 Daewoo Kalos)

So a week after buying my wife the new Chevy Captiva (Daewoo Winstorm) SUV, Cliff I didn't think the Captiva was for sale yet, I don't even see it on the Chevrolet.com site. All I can find is about how they are bringing them in from a mexican plant for fleet sales. Seems strange that there is almos...

Re: Has everyone quit this site?

How many people are still coming here? Has everyone given up on their Woo? I feel like I am one of the few people still checking out the site on a daily basis and making posts. Anyone? Activity on the forum has died down over the years, I'm usually working 80-100hrs a week so I rarely have time to ...

Slave in nubira and lacetti should be compatible.

As well the same gearbox was used in most of the Opel models with a 2.0L engine and 5spd

That's interesting, I don't know much about the 1.2L engines, I'm surprised to hear that they do not have hydraulics

Re: Reno parts

I want to increase the performance of my '05 Reno. I don't want to go turbo. Basic upgrades like an exhaust, header, intake and maybe even cams. I want a little more power and I want to increase the fuel economy of it. I have aftermarket sway bars right now, going to get the KYB struts and a front ...

Re: Lanos Sport, completely puzzled.

Does sound odd, but my gut feeling initially is an exhaust leak. I know you might think that it sounds too strange for that, but I've heard similar noise when I had a loose manifold. I don't know if the sound was being created by the gasket or what, but it was certainly a strange sound. Seems strang...
