Re: 2000 Leganza timing belt issues
Well we got the head removed today and all 16 valves are bent. The pistons are gouged a bit and I am concerned about them. I may order valves tonight. The intake valves are bent way more than the exhaust. Nonetheless, all 16 need to be replaced. The timing belt tensioner failed I believe because the...

Re: Bent valves, all of them... 1999 Nubira CDX 2.0L
I have been replacing timing belts since I was 18 years old and have never made a mistake. It is essentially lining up a few silly little gears and following instructions. The language is not important because a picture speaks 1000 words with timing belts. It basically shows the marks. I hope you ar...

Re: Leganza breather hoses
my car is buried in snow right now but there is a big one on the valve cover that is bad. I would probably need to do both of them. I also have a 2001 Lanos that I would like to source these hoses on.

Re: Leganza breather hoses
The big hose is the one I really need. I did not see the brand on the reno just that it was made down under. I can't find a listing in any of the aftermarket parts catalogs. I am doing a head job to this so I want to fix everything professionally.

Leganza breather hoses
Hi I have a 2000 Leganza and it needs new breather hoses. Has anyone found a suitable replacement for these? Is there another vehicle that has a similar hose? I worked on an 05 Suzuki Reno today and noticed it had a new breather hose that was made in Australia. I would like to find an inexpensive re...

Re: The Truth about header and turbo manifold for daewoo 1.6
Thats interesting. I would imagine that the part you circled could be for EGR which could be blocked off. I would probably start out with the honda gasket. Can you take a better picture of the entire header? the edge is missing.

Keyless entry programming
I have a 2001 Lanos. I am not sure if I can add a keyless transmitter but it has power locks. I bought the car without a transmitter. I would like a factory transmitter. How can I tell if the car is equipped with the proper electronics? Does anyone know how to program in new key fobs for this? I als...

Re: The smell of a dying cat?
Even new cars will stink like that when you run them hard. The sulfur content of the gasoline can also affect the smell. Rotten egg odor is hydrogen sulfide and it generally means that the converter is working very hard. Post your check engine light code if you can.

2000 Leganza timing belt issues
I just picked up an 00 Leganza 2.2 and I believe the timing belt is broken. Has anyone taken the head off one of these with a broken belt? Does usually the just the valves get bent? I want to get this thing going ASAP. I won't be able to get it home for another week because I need to get it towed. i...

hook a scantool up to it and monitor the data when the car stalls. Also if it doesnt restart see if there are any codes or if you have spark.

Hey turbo did you get the Lanos going yet? Sounds like no engine speed signal or a computer problem. I think I know you from somewhere else.
