It warms my heart to see so many of the guys doing turbo conversions. Back when I did mine I was practically on my own. The support out there now for Daewoos is wonderful. Press on guys.

When you have any engine problem there are usually 3 main things to check. FUEL, AIR, TIMED SPARK. These are all things that a car NEEDS to at least run. How well it runs depends on the quality of the combination of these three. Majority of the time air is not a big issue, fuel and spark are the mai...

Good to be back Mamdouh. It's been a while since we hung out too. Lots of cleanup for sure. I'm still working on the best way to handle it though because right now there is over 3/4 tank of fuel in it so dropping the tank and discarding that is not an option for the owner! LOL. Well we'll see how th...

Cielo 3000rpm hesitation...

Hey Family! It's been a while since I hung out here. There are a lot of reasons for that, the vast majority not my fault. First on the list is the fact that I am no longer a Daewoo owner. Those who talk to me regularly would note that I was in the process of buying a 2006 Chevrolet Optra, but got pi...

If you turn the ignition and not even the dashboard lights come on then you may have an issue with your ignition relay or a bad battery connection. If you have the dashboard lights and there is no turning over then your problem may be the starter motor solenoid as M suggested.

I have the same problem with my Cielo. The oxygen sensor is at fault. I guarantee that when you flash the computer it will bring up that circuit fault. Good luck.

I'm a FATHER!

Hey family! I know it's been ages since I was up in here and everything but see with me. I've been kinda busy recently. It seems as if I'm gonna be even busier these days too. On May 10 at 1020EST I became a father for the very first time. My daughter arrived weighing 5lbs-14oz and measured 18 inche...

Okay here goes. These engines are actually known for their corrosion issues. Corrosion isn't the deterioration of the gasket per se, but it is the deterioration of the aluminium in the cylinder-head due to exposure to water and oxygen. When this happens the gasket no longer fits proeprly and the exp...

I agree, there seems to be more going on than just the oxygen sensor because a car runs "fine" without it at low engine speeds. My first advice to you is to CHANGE YOUR MECHANIC! He seems rather slow to diagnosis. If he is getting a code then his FIRST resource is the internet. A good search engine ...
