Trying to use sedan power window controls for power locks...
This week I've been helping a friend do reverse glow type gauge cluster, a/c controls, as well as changing all the colors of the back lighting and to LEDs. We've changed all of the indicator light, a/c lights including the rear defogger and a/c buttons. I especially like the white a/c controls (the ...

Re: How to replace bulb in a projector headlight
How to replace bulb in a projector headlight for 2007 Chevrolet Optra 5 ? Thanks. It's really easy and I'm sure you could figure it out. Just look on the back of the headlight. I can't remember if it needs removed but since it's your first time I'd recommend removing the headlight. If you leave it ...

Re: Interesting OEM Lanos options
why don't you just use a solenoid for the hatch? that way you can add it to remote control or even just a button somewhere I like the OEM look. Plus I'm unsure what remote I'll be going with for an alarm but I like simple. With remote start, alarm/keyless entry those two buttons maybe all I want. I...

Re: Lanos w/ P0301 & P0420; Short version
I had both the 301 code come up and the 420. The 420 was an easy fix. Just replaced the O2 sensor and that went away. The 301 would come and go and was almost impossible to trace so I just put up with it. Sometimes it would stay off for couple hundred miles and then re-set. Good news/bad news here....

Re: Major changes to Astra chassis
First let me say I don't know much about drag racing, I'm far more into road racing and auto x stuff. Why not consider toyo R888s? Or Azenis or Hankooks 200tread rated tires if you want something that'll last longer. Remember OEM tires on cars like the SLR, ALina?, Mclaren, Viper, ect are 200-250 tr...

Re: lanos rear strut bar... is it useless??
I plan on using one from a Saab 9-3 as it should work perfect, just need to weld up mounting tabs which is simple. I think the OE 9-3 would be perfect. Just waiting to find coil-overs so I can have the anti-sway bar mounts welded up same time as rear reinforced for the coil-overs

Re: How to put a LED behind instrument dash and headlight
If you don't know much about LEDs don't buy them until you do as you could waste allot of money before getting LEDs that work good for the application your using them for. I'm learning about LEDs but found someone that already changed his Lanos gauges colors and with LEDs and just paid him to to do ...

Re: Daewoo Leganza HID/Xenon Light/Kit
Daewoo Leganza Xenon Headlights may produce fantastic light, but consumes less energy than your ordinary car lights. These lights are very durable that it can last for up to 10 years HID bulbs don't just burn out like halogen, they rarely ever go out at all unless they are crappy. They usually shou...

I found many different taillights but don't have anywhere to post the pics....does this forum not have a pic gallery? Can someone give me info on the red/clear taillights include the trunk tails? The taillights appear to have one brake light (red, on bottom) and one turn signal (clear, on top). The ...

Re: Daewoo Lanos Headlight Removal
DON'T PUT THE HEADLIGHT SPACER IN THE OVER! It melts much much much lower. Also I prefer to do lower temps in over for longer time to be safe. Don't put the headlight directly on metal, I use cardboard when doing lower temps for longer time but when I'm in a hury and use 200F for a short time I use ...

Glad to see a nice review. I have the same bar but installed it before I ever drove the car! Lol I didn't even test drove it before buying it. Bought it at my house, had the girl park it in my garage, and started throwing some bits on it. One mod that I've always done ASAP that has helped with handl...

Re: ride height issue
The position of the springs can probably change the height a little, like how they're turned. Maybe not front but rear I can see that making a difference up to maybe 12mm. Probably not as much as you're experiencing but I'm sure there are many little things like that that add up. With my Reno when I...
