Re: 2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

Daniel, I'm talking about the freeze plugs this entire thread has been about.

Thanks for the info on the sparks, though! Won't be fiddling around trying to find a 16 deep socket 8)

Re: 2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

Quick question about the plugs. Could you take a caliper to them and get me a measurement? I'm trying with the little space that I currently have to work, and getting about .7", 45/64", 18mm...what have you.

Re: 2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

Alright, looks like I'm gonna have to tear the intake all apart and work my way in there! :chain:

Thank you very much again for your time and patience! I have an '87 Toyota Supra, thought parts were hard to come by for that....but this? Hahahah....

Thanks!

Re: 2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

Thank you for your help by the way. Is there a separate, smaller-sized plug that goes into this hole? It's not part of the block, definitely part of the head, and much higher up than the freeze plugs. Replaced a freeze plug on the exhaust (forward-most) side of the engine, and it's absolutely differ...

Re: 2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

Sorry, delayed on a count of an all day rain on Saturday, and totally booked yesterday. Feels and looks as though it's on the head, between cylinders 3 and 4, and is actually about 3/4". One pic of the port, and one of my had reaching for it. Out of sight, but gives general idea of location. http://...

Re: 2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

Going to have to take a pic tomorrow.

Looked over manual just now, looks almost like where the temp sensor is SUPPOSED to be. Hole didn't feel threaded though. Just going to have to take a second look.

2000 Leganza Water/Coolant leak

My neighbor overheated her car, and I got on it yesterday to fix after getting all parts in the mail. She broke down a good distance from home, went over to see if it could be driven back, but water was spewing from a blown out freeze plug, so needed tow. Reseated new plug, changed gaskets on exhaus...
