Dear All, 2000 Lanos with high fuel consumption. Managed to get it scanned. At idle these were the readings. Kindly help interpret them. 1.Fuel System.....CL 2.Load..............3.9 3.ETC................87 - 91 4.MAP................40 5.Spark Adv.........4 6.IAT.................40 7. O2................

Thank you. Tried cleaning but wasnt thats successful. Tried blocking it but the car wasnt pulling too well so unblocked it. I dont think its faulty though. Mine is electric.

Where is the EGR valve on the lanos 1.6 DOHC E-Tec engine? Is it possible to remove and clean? Dont have access to obd scan.

Thanks man. Discovered the floater on the new pump extended too far to the right and was stuck on some component in the tank. My lanos is from the usa and has lots of sensors and stuff in the tank. Replaced the floater with the old one and its just fine.

Thanks Mamdouh but i checked by pulling the socket on the pump and turning on the ignition so the gauge drops all the way to empty. Then i connect the socket and it immediately jumps all the way to 3/4 again.

Hi All,
I have installed a new fuel pump on a 2000 Lanos but the gauge floater appears to be locked on something in the fuel tank so the dash indicator is stuck on 3/4 and doesnt change level even on empty. How do i install the pump so the gauge reads the proper quantity?

My wife's 2000 lanos gets about 150 miles to the tank. CEL is not on. Diagnostics do not reveal any problems. New plugs, filters, oil etc. Acceleration is very poor.
