Camber adjustment bolts

I have a 2000 Nubira and have been trying to correct the suspension problems resulting from the previous owner hitting something on the right side for a few years now. So far I've replaced the control arms and bushings, right outter tie rod, new wheels, and a new stabilizer bar link (the right one w...

front main seal

I replaced the oil pan gasket ($30 on eBay) and that wasn't the problem. The oil is being sprayed from the front main seal (as was suggested here). I'd appreciate more information. Will the gasket suddenly fail while driving and spill all of the oil? How difficult/expensive is it to replace? How muc...

A mechanic looked at the oil pan gasket and says that it is leaking. I'd like to know more about my options before spending $80 on a new one. The engine does not -seem- to leak oil when not running. When driving, oil is sprayed everywhere. I'm wondering if this is normal for a bad gasket, or the lea...

I recommend checking the bushings on the control arms for deteriorated rubber. My Nubira would shake and vibrate at 65-75 mph before I had them replaced. (80,000 miles) Is the handling loose also? As in it will "wobble" while cornering?

Nubira engine leaking oil

Hello, my 2.0l Nubira engine is leaking oil from somewhere other than the drainplug. :( If I recall correctly, someone had a similar problem caused by the assembly that the oil filter screws onto. Perhaps it is the oil pump? The car has 89,000+ miles on it. It's a rather slow leak, but most of the u...

OK, thanks mmamdouh. I didn't know what was behind the hole, so you answered all of my questions. I removed the resonator a month or so ago and kept the stock airbox. However, I gutted it (the louvers and tunnels) and enlarged the openings to make it as free flowing as possible. I would use the cone...

throttle body modification - bypass opening too small?

I'd like to know more about the "throttle plate bypass opening" as I call it, in the throttle body of my 2.0l Nubira. It's the smallish opening that sucks in air on the right side above the throttle plate. It seems rather restrictive to me. From what I can tell, the throttle plate moves a considerab...

I am just upset that Daewoo downgraded like that. Cars are supposed to get better within years not worse. Bankruptcy will do that. The Daewoo Group had around $70 billion in debt. I think Daewoo Motor alone was struggling with $11 billion, and was kept on life support since somewhere around...

According to the letter I received in the mail XM's rates are going up to $13 in April, but will include online music service and the Opie and Anthony channel. I had to go with XM to find a head unit with the features I wanted. However, I give the nod to Sirius for music. (I have Sirius with Dish Ne...

I'll find a muffler shop around here and discuss the options with them. Thank you all for the input. Now I won't walk in there a complete idiot. :P

With the stock airbox modifications I've been making, I'm right at 9 seconds 0-60mph with the automatic transmission.

Need advice on Nubira exhaust

I'd like to upgrade the exhaust system on my 2000 Nubira. The muffler at the end of the car is developing a few rust through holes. I don't want to waste money on the oem restrictive muffler in the near future. On the intake side I've removed the expansion box resonator so that it sucks air from the...
