I'm not having a shot at those who believe this may work, as the claims that were made by these pathetic excuses for companies are somewhat believable. They are however, false! Heres what physics, plain logic, and common sense tells me: Ok, as far as we're concerned here an engine works by getting a...

A mate of mine spent like 3 hours trying to figure out how his brake pedal came off... I went over and all it was, was the pedal had like 2 parts to it. the plastic bit thats attached to the rest of the lever, and a rubber bit that was sort of wrapped around it (i cant really explain it). Once you p...

Adding a pod on the end of your intake isnt so much for straight out power... It's just to get your engine breathing better, reducing the effects of "bogging down" and other annoying things like that. The actual difference you notice isnt the power gain (which is usually very small) it's more the ad...

High revving and slamming it into D is a great way to break your gearbox :) Seriously, its not like a manual having it in 1st and 'dumping the clutch', more like revving the hell out of it in neutral, the slamming the clutch in and pushing into 1st... good way to munch gears... You'll have a better ...

Yeah the JE has been considered too... The gearbox is pretty massive though, so really the only way to do it is to just bore and hone my current block to 2L and use JE internals. However I'm growing fond of DOHC :). Unfortunately, they're not quite as fast as I'd like. Some nice torque figures there...

We don't have Mk2's in australia that i know of. Hence, finding a c20xe is very hard. The only car we have that has that engine is the Calibra, which are also quite rare :( Daewoos on the other hand are a little more readily available, so ive chosen to try them instead :) I've put some pics up of my...

T20/22SED ---> N13 project
Hey guys, I've been around these forums for a little while getting some great info from you guys, thanks :) Due to my copious amounts of spare time lately, I've been researching some engine conversion possibilities for my N13 Pulsar. (otherwise known as n13 astra or sunny, not sure what they're call...

oooo I found some info that might help my predicament :D The 1.8 Astra GTE had an 18E (at least the one made between 1983-85 did). That mated to a F16 gearbox. Anyone want to take a stab in the dark and guess whether it was a Wide Ratio gearbox or a Close Ratio gearbox? If not, who knows the differe...

If you disconnect the negative lead from the battery, nothing can draw power from it... So disconnecting the battery negative lead for more than about a minute will be sufficient to re-set the ECU/ECM... There are millions of old wives tales regarding this. But the one thats been mentioned is really...
