Re: Parting out a red 2001 Lanos Sport
The car has 4 brand new dunlop sport tires with less than 600 miles on them, a new O2 sensor, temp sensor, front wheel bearing, plugs and wires and not the cheap ones, t-stat and all new bulbs front and back. I know I could get more by parting her out but if you would like to take her I suppose $500...

Along with a gently used plastic one straight from korea. She is a 1.6 DOHC. 5 speed manual. Let me know if you guys want anything off...

That's too bad about the light. I don't smoke but I am also looking for the ashtray. Mine was missing at purchase. And the owners manual. Do you have any of these items available?

Re: Lanos Running Cold
Thanks guys!! The car passed inspection. And I am good for another year. I really think I am in too deep with this car. I paid $1,500 then new tires with install was $391, then I had the blowout with the t-stat and the first time around was about $165 and then this time was $544 plus $21 for the ins...

Re: Lanos Running Cold
Looks like I have a problem solved. I ordered a t-stat from daewoo in south korea. It is on and the car is running good and keeping temp. Now to just let the computers run and see if it kicks the CEL on. Here's praying to a happy and inspected car. Thanks for the help guys. I will let you know about...

Re: Lanos Running Cold
Ok guys here is what I have so far. I am starting to get boggled. I installed the new temp sensor. The CEL kicked back on with the same code. So I got the metal housing and went to install that yesterday. While tightening the bolts the housing snapped in half. With that said it has now put me into t...

Re: Lanos Running Cold
Well I got the metal housing today and hope it works. I will put it in later. As for the CEL code it is PO128 Which it says Coolant below normal running teperature. I have no clue as to what that could be besides the t-stat. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody know where I can find the paint code for my woo? I have an 01 Lanos Sport. I am pretty sure it is Super Red but I just want to make sure before putting on some touch up that makes me scream lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Lanos Running Cold
The thermostat that I have is a 1 piece unit. You cannot remove the actual stat. But yes it is installed correctly (spring towards the block). And I just don't understand why it would be the third t-stat in a row that is bad. The car warms up to a nice spot on the needle then the fan kicks in like i...
