I have no compression in all cylinders. With two gauges just to be sure. And I checked one of them out on my other car and it worked fine. So it appears the timing belt is the culprit. So is it a sure thing the head has got to be rebuilt? Or is there a slight chance with a new belt and correct timin...

thanks for the replies. timing belt doesn't move when starter is engaging. my dad's got my compression gauge and thats why i haven't already checked that. Running over there today to grab a few things anyways, so i'll test this afternoon when i've got it and when i've got someone else to crank while...

2001 daewoo lanos auto 90,000 miles. girlfriend backed out of driveway. went to drive off and car just quit. according to her there was no grinding, shuddering, shaking, noises, etc. Just quit and wouldn't start back up.
