Re: Tacuma: slight depressing on gas leads to RPM jump

Could be leaky injectors, fuel overpressure, evaporative emissions fault, or a vaccum leak. Though correct idle will normally disclude the last option. Is idle always good, or does it sometimes hover high for a while and then return to normal? Idle is always good. Is it possible to attach usual tyr...

Tacuma: slight depressing on gas leads to RPM jump

Hi All, Another observation about my Tacuma 2.0. I can't direct engine to make slight increase in RPM - it's jumps right to 2500 mark. - Pedal and cable are OK - the same happens if I rotate throttle by the hand. Very slight movement - vuala - 2500 or so - Throttle body cleaned. No probs with idle -...

Yes, it T20SED, I believe the same for Nubira/Leganza?

Here what I disconnected; Arrows shows direction of the flow at all six opennings:

Engine ventilation - is this work as it should?

Hi all Gurus here, I have a Tacuma, the question about it's engine, 2l 16-valves; 130 000 km. I'm not sure what prev. owner has with it, but when I've got it it has crankcase ventilation stuffed up. Mechanic who changes timing belt suspects that some kind of "overheating" has place (signs of coolant...
