Yah there was some modifcations required. The plastic "caps" that screw onto the back of the light housing had to have holes drilled in them to allow for the new wires to come through. There is rubber stoppers put into the holes so that only the wires fit through snugly and not any water or dirt. Al...

Intake Air Sensor

Hi, I have a 2004 Optra and i'm making an intake for it because i can't find any aftermarket ones. I have a question, i tried running the engine for a little bit with the air sensor unplugged just to see if it would run. To my surprise, it worked perfectly. Wow so I'm not the only one haha... I have the stupid scratches too. Only noticed them after the winter, so they must have been from all the salt and sand on the roads. I don't see why this would happen to our woos when I've never seen it happen to any other cars that my family has owned. :?

The way I see it, plastic would transfer less heat from the engine bay air to the intake air running through the pipe because it is a poor conductor of heat. As for smoothness of the pipe, yes I think a custum bent metal pipe would be smoother, but it would also transfer more heat to the intake air....

Hey this is my first post here :D I was also thinking of getting an intake on my optra, but i was wondering how it sounds. Is there any chance you could record a sound or video clip ? Like revving and maybe a driveby?

BTW, kinkyllama what is your name on cardomain?
