hahah yah this engine in the Optra seems to be louder than most hondas and such in terms of intake sound.

I know where you are coming from but unless you have done the supporting mods and strengthened your engine significantly, it is not a good idea to remove the rev limiter. It is there to protect your engine.

Continuing on with my plans and attempts to aquire the right parts, does anyone know where I could find a turbo manifold for the Optra 2.0L ? Ofcourse 360 was offering, but yah..... Or do you think I will have to get one custom made from scratch? How much might that cost?

hey I bought the 360 dynamics cold air intake (its plastic, so similar to pvc) and it is quite loud. heres a link to my thread, I made a video of it.

someone did exactly that. rigged a leaf blower to be a turbo, i saw it on streetfire. they dynoed it and there were actually reasonable HP gains. was tested both on a civic si and some chev truck. they even sprayed some nitrous in the leaf blower, and that helped as welll. haha here it is http://vid...

I just removed mine on the weekend, I have a 2004 Optra. Its not that hard, just kinda annoying because some of the bolts are hard to get to. Watch out for nasty water pouring out when u tip it or move it lol.
