Little bit of a problem with that top photo there.... it's been flipped. you're looking at a right-hand drive car's interior and the photo's been flopped left-right. Look at the ignition cylinder. then look very closely at the speedometer, the needle is on the right and pointing at 0. uhn-uh, that's...

My vehicle certainly doesn't have a heavy flywheel... that would show up in clutch feel. Besides, a heavy flywheel won't exhibit the same way, i.e. my car, if you rev it in neutral and remove your foot from the throttle the engine will hang at that RPM for a half second or sometimes even keep accele...

It should be in my hands for next Thursday, in time for the project to start the following Monday. Got a better cam in the...

I have plans to turbo my car too... but only after the car's been paid for and there's another, warranteed vehicle sitting in my driveway. So, in 4 years, expect great things :) Wonder how much I can pull from the 2.2 16v with the getrag 5 speed without breaking things on a massive scale.... I think...

Re: Tire Wear

I have 4 16" Enkie Rims with 215/40/16 Nitto's on my 2002 Daewoo Lanos. I also have a full uninstalled Shark Racing Lowering Springs. I have been told that if I have them installed I will be getting excessive tire wear and I would be buying new tires every 6-8 months. Now my question is, Is this tr...

By all means have it checked... it may be the brake on that side, with a FWD car the pulling effects are minimized. I have a dodge shadow that I use for a beater while waiting for a new turbo engine that will turn it into an SCCA race car project :) My GF borrowed it one day, and the passenger front...

No, actually, I've got very few problems with rattling... only every once in a while, but then, any time there's even the tiniest squeak I go on a witchhunt, poking, prodding, shoving panels back into their mounts.... 14 months, 44,000 miles, and 99.95% of the time my car's silent as a mouse, even o...

Tiburon, only if you have a heck of a lot of money to burn, though the 2.0 Beta Hyundai is a hell of an engine. The mounts, accessories, everything is different, including the shift mechanism. Leganza... the 2.2 would be an incredibly tight fit. People who have swapped 2.0 Nubira engines into Lanos'...

Tib 4, or something cheaper and hop up the Lanos with an engine swap.

I'm willing to bet you have a leak somewhere. How much gas is going into the 153 mile tank? if it's anything more than 10 gallons, it *has* to be a leak, or the car would be undriveably rich, or you'd notice some kind of drag on the vehicle or loss of performance, etc. ~6 gallons at 153 miles is 25 ...

Hmm...Try the back seat...I'm thinking about this from a realistic perspective. I can't see why the deck would be removeable, seeing that it's a point of structural rigidity. Maybe the back of the seat can be removed and you can get at it from there. A question though...what's blocking the deck fro...
