Daewooluvr is correct and I second what he says. If you own a Lanos, expect this sensor to go out. Mine went out under warranty (yay!)

I like them all. A couple of things to be aware of though: 17" Rims can be big and heavy. Although there are some exceptions to this rule. "Heavy" means that they will make your car slower. Of course, it will look faster... and that is sometimes all that matters. "Big" means that the tires will be m...

I could be wrong, but I think that was a Daewoo prototype that never saw production at all (not even in Korea.) It really is a shame because its very cute and probably would have sold well (at least in California where I live.) The only problem with convertibles (from a production standpoint) is tha...

is that spark plug will increase the horsepower ?? Aftermarket spark plug wires (and spark plugs) can increase power. However, you generally won't get a significant boost in power unless your original plugs and wires are crap to begin with. My recommendation: If you have stock Daewoo wires, replace...

Magnecor

Hey Guys, I use Mangecor 8mm wires in my Lanos (1.6) and i've been extremely happy with them. Daewoo stock plug wires are basically garbage. The dealer replaced my plug wires 2 times and both times the wires shorted out after less than 2000 miles. Can you say recall? I was ready to give up on my car...

If anyone has a picture of these on an actual car, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Dealership

I believe you need to go to a Dealership (or former dealership) for that sort of part. I know the San Jose area still has 2 dealerships that still service and carry parts. It should not be that difficult to find replacements.

Well, you also have a 2002. I have a 2000. Maybe they worked out some problems. It is a fairly common problem with the Lanos (and most other economy cars too.)

Another thing: Do you have power windows? I don't. That could be another difference.

Eliminating wind noise in a Lanos.

I have finally elimated wind noise from my Lanos. Basically, the Lanos has crappy rubber window seals that don't work very well at high speeds. Sometimes I find myself rolling up my windows multiple times to get the window to shut without wind noise (sometimes I have to roll them up very tight.) You...

garbage

A REAL "superchip" device is usually a small computer that reprograms the on-board computer in your car that controls air/fuel mixture, timing, etc. Racers use them because they sometimes allow more accurate control of air/fuel mixture, timing, etc.. than would otherwise be possible. They usually ha...

Regarding the front leak: Are you sure it isn't water from the AC? When you run the air conditioning, its very normal for water to drip off and onto the ground. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about.

I believe Best Buy is wrong. According to www.crutchfield.com, 4" speakers fit in the front doors of the Lanos. I've bought 4" Blaupunkt for my fronts, but haven't put them in yet. I did buy some 4"x6" for the back, and they only BARELY fit (being held in by 2 screws instead of 4.) The stock speaker...

He's probably right. I hadn't done the math, but it shouldn't be using twice as much gas as a "standard" Nubira. Either a leak or maybe the tank isn't filling up all the way (I know... that sounds silly.. but its possible.) How large is the tank? (or.. how large do you THINK the tank is)

Take it to a Daewoo dealership/service center. GM dealerships won't know anything about it. www.daewoous.com has a dealership locator that still works. Unless you bought the car new, or got some kind of used-car warranty from the place you got it, the warranty is now void (reselling a car generally ...
