Re: Lanos thermostat housing replacement
mine was similarly priced and ni shipping. I ordered it from a local Advance Auto Parts and it was in in 1 day. No shipping, easy to replace. Just make sure you order the extra gasket. there is one in the kit, but you need another one, unless you use the old one. For an extra $1 or $2, it isn't wort...

Re: LANOS TRANSMISSION/SENSOR PROBLEM
Mine is blue too..... maybe it's the color that is the problem!! Mine is a 2000 1.6. I had an A/C problem too, my accessory belt broke. I also had the drain hose get clogged as the guys on here explain. That's how i found this site. I fixed it and have and no problem since. I get about 34-35MPG. I h...

Re: "Check"-light starts to blink @ +60mph
I have had the blinking check engine and the manual says it is for a severe engine misfire. The flashing CEL misfire resets on its own unless there is some other cause. I dont' remember anything showing up on the OBD code history. somethign must be causing the misfire, and I would guess it's not the...

Re: LANOS TRANSMISSION/SENSOR PROBLEM
obviously I don't know what does it for sure, but it is absolutely temperature related. My drive is also about 1.25 to 1.5 hrs, and does it near the end of the trip. Turning the car on and off resets something and "fixes' it (at least for the moment!). Something else i have found is that I can tell ...

Re: Heat/Air/Vent Control problem?
there are a couple of manuals links floating around on here. I think you can search and in the FAQ. It sounds like the cable came off your heater selector switch in the dash. this topic addresses that. you need to take the console apart to re-attach it. Good luck

Re: daewoo ciello 1500 gli
"Pump like light"? The only one I can think of is the low fuel light. Do you have fuel in your tank? Quite franly I have had my lanos for sevearl years and have deliberately tried to get my low fuel lamp to light, but have never seen it come on! If you look in your owner's manual somehwere in one of...

I have the same type of intermittent problem with my camshaft position sensor. Are these wires run through the same bundles and perhaps there is a place where they get worn or a hard bend where they could break? mine seems to be a wiring rather than a sensor problem too. Good luck finding that one!

Re: Ganing more power with a really simple mod
In the states the passenger seat is on the right, and that is where the wiring and the ECU are. I don't know if it gets flipped to the other side overseas or not? Good question.

Re: New head, plus problems. learn from my mistake
i dont' know where you are, but in the states you can buy a thermostat without the housing. when my plastic housing broke, i went to Pep Boys, the auto parts store and asked them for a thermostat for a '00 Lanos. That was all the had, the thermostat. I took it out and did some jury rigging and got h...

Re: running on 3 cyl?
don't they make a tool you can loop around the outside of the wires to measure the voltage going through the wire? i have been shocked pulling off wires, and while they may say the amperage kills, not the voltage, the voltage still scares the crap out of you!!

Re: Lanos 1.4 8v
If that happened wouldnt' it create internal damage when it went? there are lots of topics in here on timing belt failure and the damage it causes. You may want to search those and look at what others had to fix.
