Re: Timing Belt Went Out.
This just happened to me too, but I have 0 compression in all cylinders :( Mine was caused by a small piece of battery terminal cover making its way into the belt cover through the hole at the top behind the cam gears. After rattling around for 6 months (at least) it caused my belt to jump 4 teeth a...

Re: Nubira II cold air intake...
Nice work. If your car is the same as mine, then the piping shown in the last pic connects up to the engine bay side of the wheel arch. From what I could find, that is only a very small cavity and couldn't find where it pulled the air from. You would probably get even better response if you removed ...

Re: Nubira II engine upgrade - similarities to Opel C20XE
Sorry to bring up a very old thread, but it is pretty much exactly what I am looking at. I was looking to get my head reconditioned but it was going to cost me something like $1400 so I was looking at other options. I think I have come across a cheap C20XE (hopefully it isn't the C20NE), about $150 ...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
Thanks mate. I had DBA's (Disc Brakes Australia) on the Lanos but have gone for a cheaper brand RDA (Rotors, Drums Australia). There isn't too much difference between the performance, but he RDA's I have now started to surface rust after a few weeks where the DBA's were perfect. I will make some cal...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
Just a quick update on the progress of my car and stereo. I have got a new battery, 100ah AGM one which weights about 32kg. This doesn't currently fit in my engine bay, so I have put it in the boot at the moment and removed the front battery. I have also redesigned the sub box a bit with an Aero por...

Re: How hard is moving the engine bay fuse box?
Thanks for the reply. I think that it is mainly relays in the box, but there are a few fuses too. I did have another look and it seems that there is a mount for the transmission under the coolant resoviour which will make the battery too high to fit, it is a rather big battery. I am also a little co...

How hard is moving the engine bay fuse box?
Hi all, I have got a new battery for my stereo, but I forgot to measure my battery space and I need to make a lot of room to be able to fit it. I have mounted it in the boot until I can sort out where I can make the room for it. Has anyone had to relocate their fuse box in the engine bay? I was thin...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
The best tip I can give for applying a bitumun based product is to use a roller to squash it onto the panel, basically like a rolling pin but smaller. It was a pretty cold night when I did mine, so I got my heat gun and gave it a quick heat for about 5 seconds to soften it and help it stick a bit ea...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
Damn, your one crazy white boy lol (im white too xD) btw y do u have that "foil" inside ur car? Cheers Buddha. I haven't done any visible mods to the car so when I have the stereo cranked people look around to try and see where it is coming from and never suspect me. I have been to a couple of SPL ...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
I will only be running the single battery, if i installed another i would change the class that I compete in. I am not sure if i will go with an Optima D31 Red Top, Odessey 2150, or another brand with similar rating. My tyre well is also currently full, I have a spare tyre in there :D . I found my c...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
Thanks Wolf, I am still using the standard Alt and battery at the moment and will be using a charger between runs at competitions to top the battery back up. The standard battery isn't too bad as it was recently tested and shows about 880cca, but I will need to upgrade it in the near future. I will ...

Re: My '02 Nubira CDX Limited Sedan
Just a little update. I have installed the amp and made a new box for the sub. I haven't taken any pics yet but will in the next few days once I find my camera. I still need to do a lot of testing and run 3 more runs of power cables, but I am still pretty happy with it so far. I entered a SPL comp t...

Re: Going to import a Calibra AWD 2.0L Turbo
That is an awesome idea Chris and at that price you would be silly not to do it. :D We have the AWD Calibra here in Australia under the Holden badge but they are as rare as a goose that lays golden eggs (and are worth about the same). The MS3 is a pretty good car, but I would still prefer a Turbo AW...
