i think the reason why its so cloged is because of neglected oil changes. i'm no expert on oil but fresh oil has all these properties and tons of other stuff to make it strong. as it gets used in an engine it loses these properties from heat, friction and type of driving conditions. as u keep using ...

wow! i've carbed cleaned a number of carbs and throttle bodies but never have i seen one this bad, neways its good that finallly u can clean it all out. oh and yeh any carburator cleaner should clean it out, but for your case use should buy a few :lol:

test/change your coil pak, reason is cause on my calibra my dad degressed the engine and it the ran on 3 cylinders then not long after it ran on 2. changed the coil pak and all was good.

yeh maybe but at the same time, think about when your going uphill, 5th gear places alot of strain on the engine and u have to downshit while first is real easy to rev through... this must mean their is more resistance in 5th gear... or something like that... u get wat i mean?

yeh for the F28 which is almost always used with a transfer box hence when you decide to run it 2wd you need a blanking plate.

just to let you know, if you run short of money but you still need very good pistons then look into c20let engine the early version with a distributor not dispack. they come with mahle forged pistons and theyre very good. the compression is 9. something

hey mate, if the cam sprockets are in the right order then just whip on the rocker cover, no need to tighten it down and put the lead in the correct way and everything else in it's correct position and givit a crank... if it starts turn it off and do the rocker cover properly if not the keep persuin...

it could be that your battery has just worn out, when was the last time you changed it?? to check the alternatoer, hook up a volt meter and measure the voltage should be close to 12v, start the engine (i don't no specifically for the daewoo) but it should jump up to around 14.5v, if it's recharging ...

it could also be a noisy tentioner/idler and i no this is a long shot but it could be your pwr ster pump but that makes more noise as you turn the steering.

i'd like to add if you decide to go for an c20let but can't find a F28 then look for an F20(which comes off a c20xe usually) and if u can't find that then look for a F18 but that has shorter ratios, which u might not like. so if theirs no F28 go for F20 oh and u need a blanking plate for that which ...

yeh i don't think theirs a real reason for not going back i mean it's not like your changing oil to wd-40 and back but the only thing i'd be conserend about is the seals it can't be good for them to get mix from going back and forth and i also once heard about the big end bearings getting use to one...
