I just replaced front pads and rotors on my 99 Lanos 1.5 4dr.
I used Eurorotor pads and discs.
Part #s
Pads:D688
Discs:GM-204

I got them at Autoimport in Ottawa, but they must have other dealers/distributors in Canada.

I had a weird lighting wiring problem as well. Turns out there was a corroded connector under the driver's seat. It din't take long to get at it. Just take the seat out, remove the door sill trim and lift the carpet. If it's corroded, you'll be able to tell by looking at it. The connector that was c...

Yep, it matters. Otherwise they may not be "in phase".

Most car companies have other manufacturers make their parts. If not right away then once the cars are a few years old. Ex: VW uses bosal exhaust as replacement parts on the older models. Sangsin is able to sell them without going through the dealer chain and so many middle men that their parts are ...

Yeah, that probably would've helped, sorry. It's a 99 Lanos 4 door, 1.5l SOHC.

Sway bar links

One of mine bit the dust, so I replaced them both with ones for an 88 Mazda 626. None of the local parts stores had the Daewoo ones in stock, so I tried the Mazda ones. They're a little longer, so both had to be replaced. Just thought I'd share the knowledge in case anyone else gets stuck.

Future Shop normally stocks that stuff. Harness for my Lanos was 15, dash kit was the same.

I'm having a similar problem.

No interior lights, no tail lights but the brake lights work, right turn signal inop, left turn signal works. It's not bulbs or fuses, I checked all of them.

I hate wiring. Electrical nightmare.

VW rims?

Anyone ever use rims off of a Volkswagen on a Lanos?

The 4 bolt VW rims are 4x100, and their hub size is 57.1mm, whereas our Lanos' hub is 56.6mm.

Anyone know if .5mm is enough to worry about?

Happened to me three weeks ago. It was around $10 for the part. If you look at the top of your brake pedal, you'll see a switch with a plunger attached. You have to twist it a bit for it to come out, as it has two tabs on opposite sides which keep it in place.

Argh. I took a look last night, and my cable is kinked, but that's a symptom, not the cause. I tried to manually push the actuator under the dash, but it won't move past vents to defrost. Now I've got to figure out how to get in there to see what's blocking the deflector plate(s). Anyone done this?
