Stay away from Avon/Cooper tires. Right now I am using Falken tires, they are high-end tires so they aren't exactly cheap but I am extremely happy with them.

You have a lanos, right? When i drive decently i get 27-28mpg in my forenza which is 370+ miles a tank. 14.5 gallons and i usually have at least a gallon left when i fill up

Lanos tanks hold a little more than 12.5 gallons I believe.
