After 88K it just won't start. New battery, full power when I turn the key and nothing. Doesn't crank. I've had intermittent problems for the past 3-5 years with the car leaving me stranded many times so now it's time to get the junk yard to hall it off. It's been a pleasure and good luck to you all.

What would cause a Leganza to start 90% of the time but then not start the other 10% of the time.

Have the following:

New battery
New starter
New ECU
New camshaft position sensor

Problem appears to be something with the electrical.

I have a 1999 Leganza SE with 88K. Have had this problem intermittently for the past 5 years and usually happens as soon as the weather get's really hot here (above 95 degrees). It can't be that easy? I've been lookeing at the service book for the Leganza and it looks like many things have to come out including dropping the steering wheel, remove the radio, etc.

Mine's all curled up and looks really bad. Rest of the car is in good shape and I would like to replace the dash. Anybody ever do this?

Sounds like the Leganza engine is just as good as a Honda or Toyota and can get high miles.

What do you all think?

I was talking to someone today about this problem and he said check the ground wire. Where is the ground wire?

I am the original owner of mine with 86K on it since I bought i back at the end of 1998. I am wondering after almost 10 years if it's worth putting money into to keep it on the road longer. Which fuses should I check? Under the hood or left driver's side under the dash?

Does the Leganza use gas shocks? On cold mornings when I go over bumps the whole back end makes a rattle. The car doesn't do this when the weather is warmer.

I've had this problem over the past 4 years and had the starter replaced (bought it from DaewooUS.com) about 18 monthes ago thinking that would fix the problem. It never did. The problem still remains and seems to be getting more and more common as the car ages.
