Appreciation

Thanks for the reply.

After topping up the radiator with tap water, the radiator reservoir has residue water. I guessed this might due to long period of evaporation as the last check on the engine was about one month ago.

I might have to give up this car as I could not get spares in Singapore.

How about engine mounting failed ? It might be the case.

Well koh, I have reached 60k and it is time for replacing the timing belt. As for the water pump, true enough it is a toss up between labor and preventive maintenance. Water pumps fail faster due to improper coolant mixes. I believe that as long as it is still OK and the weep hole did not leak cool...

Hi Genie,

Have you got a price for the job ?? Mine is 75,000km ++. I heard from Starauto that they recommend 50,000 km.

Do advise. And where is the workshop ? Thanks in advance.

Rear Brake Drum

It has been a year since I drove this 2002 Lanos and till now, I still cannot figure out how to take out the rear brake drum. First, I had jacked up the car, removed the wheel. Released the handbrake, but I cannot find the screw that secured the drum cover. I was told to remove the centre small cap....

Engine Mount

My lanos tends to vibrate more these days during idling, such as waiting at the traffic light. My friend told me that it might be the engine mounting required to be replaced. I was told that it is common for a Daewoo to replace engine mount within three years !! Is that easy to do ? I heard you need...
