i noticed today temp Guage came up as normal but took almost 25 minute of drive.
now if i need to replace thermostat which one should i buy for mya 2000 Lanos 1.6
which year aveo will fit and what it can cost?

Folk, on my lanos i see temp gauge at minimum. does no rise. although when iopen hood every thing is warm rad, block, etc. no leak on rad fluid either. what could be possible wrong? i seen car overheating my problem is no heat when i turn fan blower with heat set to max and still it blow clod air in...

still same problem not yet solved ..any help?

i had same problem ..replaced 2 sensors but still check engine light is on and scanner shows same fault code. "low input"

This in unbeliviable...i got new sensor from dealer it has new kind of potting on sensor.
although same part number and same revision....i am fighting for my money back.
this sensor has OEM lanos kind of potting...previous one has other kind...i will try to post picture...tommorw....

GM dealer told me i have to pay for new one and they will test this one for me and if its faulty i will get 100% refund as warranty for one year on it. so i order new one lets see now.

i think when i check pin 1 and 3 means A & C voltage is high then 4 as per CMM ( componenet maintenance manual ) replace sensor in step 10 . does it means even brand new sensor from dealer is non working sesnor.? what are my chances gettting bad sesnsor but brand new? what is GM reputation for parts...

i bought this new sensor from GM dealer the sensor fits only one way the way it was removed or esle mounting holes will not match. now let me check harness and see if there is any short. or corrector has any wire damage. if not as per manula ecu is at fault never seen cases like this but lets try

i did manage to complete the replacement of sensor but same message came back on.
code 0342 cam sensor low input.

folks as i mention in my previos post i am trying to do DIY for Cam sensor. i am stuck half way now. i removed air filter etc. now it need to remove drive belt or serpentine belt. as following manual i loose up alternetor bolt but belt seems to be in tension. what do i need to do next...??? stuck no...

pick up one from dealer 56 bucks CAD for aveo but this sensor has daewoo logo on it.
well...what ever makes them happy.

its getting expensive to buy camshaft sensor for lanos 2000 1.6L.
now i have qs can i use aveo sensor or any other sensor which its cheap to find?
dealer is asking me $ 166 bucks for each which is ripoff.
so please tell me what are my options.

you are correct dealer also told me same thing my belt looks like new when he removed it and he told me to keep in just incase if i need it.
