the two flanges are slightly different if I remember correctly. You can have that off in about 20 minutes if you want to trace it out for yourself though.

Did I sell it to Chris? I thought I still had it. If someone feels like cutting the flanges I can make those things pretty quick. The two I made, I cut the flanges by hand which was a PITA. Notice the I/D is different for the header collector and exhaust, hence the taper in the pipe.

He probably hasn't found the Aveo board yet, otherwise he would know about this mod.

Pics on my site.

If you want a "cheap" race car, a nissan sentra or 200sx is the way to go. Lots of parts all of which are cheap and with nasa's (nasapracing.com) se-r class there is lots of competition. If you want something custom, I would go with a Lanos 5sp, 1.6L with a built head (cams, good valve job, ported) ...

It would only serve to create a restriction in your intake

Autometer part number 3277 - NITROUS / FUEL RESTRICTER 3277 - Restricts pressure spikes and excessive pressure fluctuations Drill out the hole just a little bit when you get it, but it should solve your oil leakage problems. The turbo only needs a tiny bit of oil and you are getting gobs of oil. Chad

That 1.5 head looks like a single overhead cam. The Aveo is DOHC.

how much would it be if you had it port and polished and then shipped it? nick The inside? Well, it's halfway there, all I would be able to do is gasket match the intake runners to where it goes into the head then smooth it out so it's nice and smooth. I can't get through the bends though. I guess ...

FS: Lanos 1.6 intake and NIB oil pan

I have a Lanos intake that I was going to port, but I bought an Aveo. I paid $30 for it, but I'm willing to let it go for $35 shipped.

The oil pan is still new in box, great if you have turbo dreams. Paid $50 for it, will sell for $35 shipped. I'm moving and need this stuff to go.

This is the best shot I have of the intake manifold where the injectors would be. http://www.uniquemotorsports.com/daewoo/images/Intake3.JPG You can see it goes right into the head and there's no where for the injectors to ride. This intake manifold is for sale by the way $35 shipped. I need to get ...

Howabout this... The real benefit is the decreased weight of the pulley. Why not make the replacement the stock size, just much lighter? This way you can sell it cheaper by saving the $10 for the belt.

A quick check on the flywheel would be to see if the clutches have the same part numbers, if so, it's a go. I suspect the 1.5 might have a smaller clutch and hence smaller flywheel. I broke 150 miles on the car tonight and it is reving much smoother. I think it just needed to be broken in some. I'm ...

Aveo seems to have a real heavy flywheel

Has anyone noticed that when you rev the aveo in neutral and let off the gas the engine doesn't slow down at all? I'm thinking about having a custom pulley spun and would like to get a lighter flywheel in there. Has anyone done anything about this?

I got it... The Aveo seems to use the same dash kit as the Lanos... I know the wiring is the same which is great because my mp3 player just plugged right in. I'm going to tell them I forgot something out of the Lanos tomarrow and get the dash kit.

The cars are more different than they are similar. The head and block might be the same, but that's about it. The Daewoo feels much faster, but maybe because it is. I expect that to change tomarrow when I mod the intake. The Aveo handles better and doesn't have the same e-tec kick. In fact, I can't ...
