Re: Replacing 1.5 DOHC with Nissan CD20 Diesel
Few justifications to go for Nissan:- 1. Opel Diesel Engines are not easily available. And same is the case for their spares. 2. A good Nissan CD20 shall cost me about $600 whereas Opel Diesel shall not be less than $1500. 3. Nissan engines perform well in very hot climate (which normally touches 50...

Hello guys To end all my engine problems for once and all, I've decided to replace it (1.5 L DOHC Nexia) with a 2L Nissan CD20 Diesel Engine which has a decent peak output of 75 PSI @ 4000 rpm. I've checked that all functions in my shall work well except the tachometer. Can someone help me with that...

Re: Timing Belt ripped off in Nexia 1.5 DOHC
I am thinking of an alternative. Can i replace this engine (1.5 DOHC used for Nexia) with very similar (1.5 SOHC used for Cielo) engine?
What changes apart from ECM / Ignition Coil replacement is required?

Re: Timing Belt ripped off in Nexia 1.5 DOHC
Many thanks for the information.
But my problem is that both the Cam Pulleys have 2 marks on each of them. I don't understand which 2 marks should be aligned.

Check the pump filter (not oil filter)
Mike.......... if u feel that the engine sound increases with the oil light flickering..............thats nothing but low oil pressure. The main reason which I found on my Cielo and Nexia was the small oil filter placed inside the oil chamber just at the end from where the oil pump sucks the oil. Op...

Alternator and Brake Lights on (very very dim) - Nexia 2000
I drive a Nexia 1.5 DOHC (2000) which has done about 70 K Miles. Recently I am facing a problem with my Alternator (Battery symbol) and Brake Lights which remains on (but very very dim) even when the engine is running. These lights are so dim that they can only be seen when there is no light inside ...

what about Toyota 1NT
Anton i am from India. And here in India, we can easily get a used Toyota 1N Turbo Engine from a junk yard. These used engines are improted from Japan and have already clocked around 60-70 K Kms. But these engines are quite good as I have seen these engines doing 300000 kms if proper care is taken. ...

To be very precise............the rpm goes high to 2000 when I step on the clutch.............. Yes..........its idle speed is 850 rpm. one more thing......... when I press the accelerator during idling...... the rpm goes high (to 4000 for instance) but it comes back to 850 very slowly.................
