A/c condenser leak

After replacing my engine some time ago, I finally decided to put new refrigerant in my Laganza a/c system. All was going great until it blew a leak! I don't think I overcharged it- but I am not sure. Anyway, does anyone know of a low cost option? Do I have to use a Daewoo replacement? Is there an a...

Re: Leaking Trans Hoses Leganza

Upon closer inspections, it looks like the rubber hoses and clamps are holding. I think the top METAL tube is the one leaking. (Drips down the bottom, inside and ends at the hose clamp.) I tightened the bolt on and well, I guess we will see. I see there is a washer of some sort on one side of the co...

Re: Leaking Trans Hoses Leganza

I did take the hose to the parts store. But with many of my cars, I get a glazed look from the counter person, (VW TDI, BMW, Vintage Beetle, and the mother of all "odd" cars, Daewoo.) I live in a small town and drive out of the ordinary cars. So the guy gave me similar generic hose. I am not sure if...

Re: My pully is not in Harmony

Here is a place I found for a decent price $130 + $15 shipping. http://www.daewooautopartspr.com/

They are in Puerto Rico.

Leaking Trans Hoses Leganza

I have been putting up with a small drip of trans fluid from the two rubber hoses that go from the trans to the cooler. I tried two hose clamps for each end, but that did not work. Today I bought new universal hose. Three connections are fine, one is worse than ever. I will try to add another hose c...

Re: My pully is not in Harmony

Thanks daewoomofo,

I will check with them. Do you know anything about a Daewoo supplier from Porto Rico?

Re: My pully is not in Harmony

The pulley is wobbly. Not a ton, but enough to rub on the timing belt cover. I am concerned it may fail, or something else is going on MUCH worse. Like the crank is bent or the inside pulley for the TB is out of round. Maybe I am being paranoid. The car runs great and no other problems are evident. ...

My pully is not in Harmony

My Leganza started with a squeak, squeak and now has a very insistent squawk. The harmonic balancer is wobbly. It is scraping against the timing belt cover. I think I need a new one. Where can I find one? Thank you all!

Slow Starter Puzzle

Hello all, My Leganza suffered a power steering hose leak that gave me a scare- but after securing the part it was a pretty simple fix. Now I have a new problem- er, opportunity. The starter is slow to engage. Turn the key, a slight hesitation, then it cranks up and starts. I have cleaned the batter...

Hey Me too. I need to know a hose too. I need to order the hose that comes off of the lower reservoir outlet. It is off of the rack and pinion by the firewall. Specifically, the rubber part of the hose sprung a leak. It is the metal long pipe below the engine, rubber, then short metal up to the rack...

Weird engien explained!

As soon as I started to back out of the driveway to go around to the garage I figured it out- no power steering. Seems we have a hole in the rubber junction between the metal parts of the high pressure (I think) hose.

Anyone know where to order one?

I will have some time to look into it this week end. It looks like it is coated around the block it's self. (There is a line between the head and block.) I had some trouble with the trans lines leaking- anyone solve that problem before? I put additional hose clamps on, but I think I need newer, bett...

Weird Engine Situation

Hello all, Here is a strange thing- the '02 Leganza, (with used engine at 50k on it), sat for two weeks. Then my daughter jumped in and started it up. She said she heard a strange noise, started to back up and saw a puddle of oil. So she turned it off and took another car. When I looked at it, I see...

Yeah, that needs to be done. However, I should have been more clear, the starter won't engage. As in, a dead battery type symptom. But after the car has sat a while, 5 or more minutes, it starts fine.
